The fear of death

In our current Western society we have removed death with all the problems and anxieties arising. But removing the problem does not solve it, rather it gets worse. Our civilization, consciously or unconsciously, plans to use the technique as an antidote to the anguish of death. The obsession to prolong life, stay young as long as possible, are all examples of madness in which we live. We go so far as to start feeding the illusion of immortality. We plan to use the technique to become immortal and instead we are dominated to the point of risking self-destruction. I do not think there is a philosophical remedy against the anguish of death. However it would be important to learn to face it and to accept that it is part of our life.
